Advice before buying...

Hi guys,

Im looking to buy an A3 2.0 TDI Sport with a max budget of £7,000.

Is there anything i should specifically look out for before buying a car, or would there be any signs of harsh use on the car apart from cosmetic wear on seats and steering wheel.

I currently have an BMW E36 323i convertible and im getting 21MPG, which is the main reason why im looking to get an A3 lol Im hoping to find a facelif version on a 55 plate or newer with less than 90k on the clock so is my budget enough for something along those lines.

Any help would be appreciated

look for a big bottle of coolant in the boot, if it's got one , AVOID!, this engine is supposedly blighted by cracked or porous head cylinder, look through forum you will see plenty of material on this
