Wouldn't rev pass 3K

I was driving on the motorway, it was happily cruisng along at 70mph but when I floored the accelerator to overtake it failed to rev pass 3K, didn't feel the turbo kick in either and the speed barely increased. I pulled over and at slower speeds the wheels felt really heavy as if I had a punctue or the handbrake was one. I stopped and checked but neither was the case. I restarted the engine and all was fine. Since done 300 miles and symptom never reappered and no warnings on instrument panel.

Any explanation on the issue?

Happened to me before, turned off and on and everything was fine. Engine light came on too but went after restarting.. Strange thing was no logs were recorded..

Limp mode?

Sounds like limp mode, usually a turbo/MAF problem iirc.
