Hello guys,

For a while i've started having problem with the start of the start of the engine when cold. I've refubished the start engine and the problem is still there. I plan to test the HPFP pump located on the right part of the engine. What should i test for it using vcds. I know that it should do a minimum of 6 bars.

Any adivise is well apreciated.

Thank you!

you need .50 bar residual and at least 270 rpm cranking speed

check there is no excess soot in the fuel from blow pass at the injectors, this will cause poor combustion and pressure drop

connect a clear fuel pipe from the filter to the tandem pump and watch for air bubbles when cold cranking

connect a ammeter to the pre supply pump cables and see what it draws when cranking

thank you, can i test the hpfp during engine running using the vcds?
