    My balls are swinging loose.

Has anyone else had this problem with the massive plastic balls on the parcel shelf supports, when cornering etc they seems to bounce off all the trim in the boot area, I thought for a while I had blown another rear shock but it's 100% the parcel shelf straps.

Just wondered if anyone else has had this and done anything to modify them?

I'm confused as to why they were even fitted in the first place, the Mk4 golf had ones that retracted into a reel back in 1998......

Have you attached the loops on the opposite end on the strings to the studs at the top of the boot so when you open the boot the parcel shlef lifts aswell?

As NHN said, you can fit the retractable ones from the 8L shelf but its not a direct replacement so some 'bodging' will need doing LOL

    Balls to that mate.

Disconnect the hanging string bits of the boot lid & watch your balls drop down from the parcel shelf & dangle in the boot lmfao
