Help with oil ? 2.0 TDI

Hi guys, I checked the oil in my car the other day and noticed it only half full so i need to get some lol just im not sure which oil i need :L

What oil should i be putting in ?
Is there any special oil for a PD engine ?

The car is a 2.0 TDI Quattro

Just had a look on the castrol website and it recommends Castrol Edge Full Synthetic 5W30

Lol caastrol will recommend castrol. Audi used to use mobil1 and people liked it

Did you use Mobil 1 fully synthetic 0W40 turbo diesel oil ?

Yep the recommended one bro works at kwik fit and used the top advanced recommended one you usually pay extra for

5w30 & its castrol edge in retail & slx 3 now iirc in audi.

5w30 is the recommended viscosity for your engine afaik, not 0w40, so certainly the change to even this type would be better, as for the brand, well I always have used castrol for my audi's, even if its rips ur butt for cost, but at least then if you ever have claim issues with audi, you can clearly state you've always used castrol slx/edge

Asda were doing Castrol edge 5w30 @£30/4litres. Good price if you ask me.
