if you get bored of long stories good bye! :)

well i joined the army when i was 17, passed my test and bought a mk2 VW golf 1.8 gl in red.

i swore i would never get another red car but still would get another vw golf mk2!!

then after i hammered that everywhere. the rear drivers side wheel fell off and went past me on the a38 near bassets pole round about so i dumped it there and never saw it again. i needed a car and my mates uncle was selling one of these!

i will regret buying this for the rest of my life.

i remember him saying to me when i bought it. 'its just had a new radiator mate its all good' so off i went 2 weeks later the engine ceased as i had blew the 'new radiator' and it had boiled dry. so i went without a car for a while.

in the mean time i was posted off to germany. went off to iraq. came back and al my new mates had ordered tax free cars so naturally i wanted one aswell. i phned a few tax free dealerships as i wanted a mk4 golf 1.4 as it would be good on insurance and ended up getting a 53 reg renault megane 1.4 dynamique.

i hated the car from the word GO!

the second day i had it someone/thing crashed into the side of it and destryed the car,so i saved up and paid for it to be repaired myself (as i didnt want to go through the insurance as i was close to having my first years no claims)

the day i picked it back up after its repair i drove from germany to cornwall to go on hliday with my family, i was driving down a typical cornish back road and came across a mk3 escort going the other way, so i stopped in the layby which was on my side.

i then heard an almighty bang. a huge rock had fell out of the wall and go straight into the same side of the car that had just been repaired!! as you can imagine i was NOT happy!!

anyway back to the story, i went to carcraft in cannock and part-ex'd the megane in for a ford fiesta mk5 zetec-s in moondust silver. i loved it, i had always wanted one since someone in my street had one when i was younger.

so off i went in my new car. it went through having lots of loud speakers in it, big oz wheels etc etc then i came across a group of zs's in cannock and they were all track preped and i knew that was the route i wanted to go, so 3 years after getting the fiesta i stripped EVERYTHING out of it and started on the suspension, roll bars etc etc.

this was me going round donny:

i had the fiesta for a few more years as it was track preped, i did 1 lap of the ring in it, 3 laps of silverstone, and 18 laps of donny in total, then i sold it to a mechanic i knew as he was going to make one good car out of 2 bad as he another zs in his garage.

then i had no car for about 6 months and i hated it but i didnt know what i wanted, then i saw an advert for one of these:

just incase theres anyone that doesn't know what this is, its a Vauxhall Astra VXRacing edition. number 369 out of 444 worldwide!!

i was in love with and living in germany at the time was a dream tax free fuel and as many derestricted roads as you could ever dream of!

anyway i left the army coming on 9 months ago now and kept it for a while but i didnt want to ruin it driving round cornwall where i now live. so i sold it to mark longstaff at Rev It Up UK this guy is amazing!! seamless transition. but yet again i was without a car.

my mom gave me here old car to go to work and back until i found a car i wanted.

it was a honda civic 1.3dx. it got me to work and back and that was all!! lol

and i ended up with my 53 reg 2.0 fsi sport.

good story dude a few nice cars along the way i see i come from a long list of fords mainly rs powered ones from when i was 18 lol

thanks for the feedback and comments peeps. whats rs's did you have?

i will do another story of my track time some time. theres a new focus rs on some of my ring pics. it was my old bosses car.

im loving how much power they are now getting out of that volvo engine. 400bhp!! jamsport are doing a 4wheel drive conversion aswell now. that will be a mean piece of kit!!

i had a saphire cos brefly and 2 escort rs turbo's both tuned the first was a healthy 160bhp and the second my baby was 197bhp at the wheels and around 220 ish bhp at the flywheel she was a beast of a car and a full on show car too mint in every way , cream leather and red alcantara seats full 90 spec body kit coilovers , cossie brakes front and rear etc... the bills totaled up to gone £14k i spent on here over the 5 years i had her that was just on mods lol

Hey hey VXRacing! I really enjoyed reading your story there, it's good to have the company of some of my old VXRO buddies over here, there are a few VXR to Audi defectors now, lol. Do you miss your Astra?? I have to admit I still like the style of the Vixer, but the only thing I miss is my old engine bay, lol. The Audi bay isn't nearly so cool looking as the VXR one, but I s'pose it doesn't matter that much, 'coz you don't go around driving with your bonnet up. It's lovely to have you on here, Dude. :)
