Hi there chaps,
I'm new to the forum and and new to being an audi owner so this is my 1st post. I've spent a lot of time searching around the forum to find answers which (I think) I have so I'd just like to clarify a couple of things and hopefully get some feedback on my plans?
Current model is 8P3 S Line 2.0 TDi 140 in Black picked it up last Friday. All I plan on doing for now is getting some new wheels. I have chosen the RS4 style and would like them in 19". From what I gather these would be the correct specs for size/tyres in order to guarantee no rubbing: 225/35/19 ET45 8". Is this correct?
Just a couple of questions:
I do a lot of motorway miles (18k a year) so do you think 19's would be a silly idea? Currently it has the standard 18's (225/40) and the ride is comfortable. I dont mind compromising a little but Im not sure how big a difference 19s would make. Surely not massive difference to the current 18's?
I imagine if I do get them and stick them on it might look a little high so I would consider lowering it just a little possibly with the HR 35mm springs (which I think would lower by an inch maybe). Does this make a difference to the possibility of rubbing/clearance? And what about to the ride itself? Do you think these springs would make it too stiff a ride for the motorway?
These are the potential wheels:
Audi A3 03> 0808 Style Silver, Size 19". Alloy Wheels Only, add tyres if required. Sort Price Low. Alloy Wheels - Specialist supplier of alloy wheels and tyres packages, Fast Delivery, Buy Online. Version 157232.
Would you get these or save up for OEMs?
Here is my car at the mo:

Any thoughts much appreciated...
Cheers!
