    Brake Upgrade!

So, after getting remapped I have decided I want to upgrade the brakes as I can't slow down quick enough. Just wanted to know what my options are.

your most cost effective option is getting the brakes from an S3/R32 as these are a straight swap and will give you a much better braking performance
Factory: Phantom Black S3, BOSE, RNS-E, Adaptive Lights, Interior Lights, Auto Lights

Added: Evolve Stage 2 Map, Evoms CAI, Milltek TBE Non-res With Special Tips Now At 360bhp & 385lb/ft, VWR 4 pots, H&R Springs, H&R Spacers, Sachs Clutch, '09 Rear Clusters, Pressed Metal Plates, TT Air Vents

To Do list: Now that would be telling

I thought that would be the easiest way after searching through similar threads. Any idea of how much it is to do the S3 brake conversion? Cheers.

it shouldnt be too expensive really, somewhere between £3-500 for the discs, pads lines & callipers. if your paying towards the top end of that, you want to make sure there is lots of life left in the pads & discs or youll end up spending another couple of hundred in replacing them

Yeap the 345mm brakes are a worthy upgrade for that price, have done to both our cars & they work very well.

Cheers mate, do is it only the front brakes that would be worht changing or the whole set?

In fact if anyone could tell what i would need for the whole S3 brake conversion that would be great.

These are the parts you need if you want to buy them separately.

    CLIP 191611715 - 2 pcs.
    RETAINING SPRING 4F0615269 - 2 pcs.
    PAD SET 1K0698151B (I bought DS2500)
    BRAKE DISC (345x30mm) 1K0615301M (I'm waiting for a set of Tarox F2000)
    PIPE 1K0611763A - 1 pc.
    PIPE 1K0611764A - 1 pc.
FLEXI HOSE 1K0611701N - 2 pcs. (I have a complete 4 pcs set of HEL SS lines; I've heard that if you go for the HEL lines, you won't need the two pipes above; I'll see when I'll fit them to the car)

This is what I've bought for my conversion. The codes are for Cupra brakes which are almost identical to S3 and R32 brakes. The difference is the color (red for Cupra, blue for R32 and black I think for S3; also S3 has the logo on them). In Romania the components ordered on Cupra codes are cheaper than the ones with S3 or R32 codes.
Also, some of the screws and bolts mentioned are not mandatory, you can reuse some of the existing ones. For safety I've ordered new ones.

If you decide to buy the whole kit from someone you may end up paying less. Since I didn't had enough money at once, I bought it by pieces.
