I tried a similar device and it is poo and a waste of money. Don't waste any of your life using it mate.
The only "vag com" cable/software worth getting is VCDS (whether that be genuine or otherwise).

It seems pointless to me. It lets you read fault codes and reset them only, I doubt you can recode, activate/deactive anything with it. As above, get VCDS.
