Bit odd on a 1.6 FSI - maybe trying to emulate the new RS3 LOL. From a legal point of view/MOT its ok, as long as the tyres on the same axles are the same.

its usually the rears that are the bigger size not the fronts like on bmw's/merc's etc..

Tyres sorted Just put some continental sport Contact 2s on the front (decent tyres ?) So they are now 225/45/17 all round
