Im going to put a post up on my results, I intend to get dynoed next month aswell.

How does the revo map feel has it transformed the power up top? What about mid range?

My bluefin map has given me a jump in torque at around 3000rpm and it feels alot more responsive uptop.
Alright mate, you are aware there is no back up with Bluefin if your car for whatever reasons 'fcuks up', they will simply tell you its nothing to do with them, however with REVO you have the support if needed, anyway ...

at first i wasnt that convinced until i got a bit pedal happy and then i realised every penny was worth it! ... the car is louder, can hear the turbo at 2k rpm onwards, it kicks in at around 2.5k onwards and just pulls and pulls, scary fast now from how it was, with it being derestricted i wouldnt even like to say how good it would be if i 'red lined' every gear to see what its really made of!

i will be filling it up on Shell V Power for the first time today and will remain on said fuel, then after a few tanks of the pricey juice ill be changing the settings on my SPS switch to top end fuel which will give peak gains, as previously mentioned earlier i will dyno the car come february to see the gains, obviously REVO claims 220bhp and 275ftlbs as an approx i assume, so we will see.

Sounds very similar to mine aswell the sudden pick of power at 2500rpm and the engine sounds alot more beefy. I find nearer redline there engine has more of a rasp to it. Im going to eventually dyno and get another file sent from bluefin after to see if they can tweak it any more.

I considered revo strongly but i didnt want to rule out the bluefin device as i could return it if i want to. So far i can say im very happy with it there customer service is exceptional both my map files were sent within an hour and they are very happy to help tweak the map fi your not happy

Would you say though your generally sitting near the 220 mark? Bluefin claim around 214 for theres but ill be honest and say i think at peak im around 200ish.

I really want to dyno it to know though

Oh well that sounds very positive then, cant conplain with the service you have received, tbh mate i have no idea what power im pushing out how on earth are you suppost to tell lmao, dyno is definitely needed in the new year to determine the facts and figures.

Im not sure i can tell its sitting in that mark now as my old car was a bit more powerful, Since the map it feels quicker but im certain the gains stated are a bit optimistic. Lets see though dyno is certainly needed.

Im going to have a blast with my mates R32 this weekend, Now technically if we went by revo figures i would have a better power to weight than him so i would be pushing in front on the rolling run easy.

If im sticking with him i would say i should have around 210-215 with the torque that was stated roughly

If im slightly slower than than him maybe a car length then the gains are just hyped a bit and im probably around 200ish, Now if he still gets more than 2 car lenghts on me im getting a REFUND LOL

Dyno will give you a three digit number, but I have to say after years of head scratching about dyno numbers the best dyno is the butt within seat of your pants or the 1/4 mile strip! I've given up with Dyno's unless I'm trying to replicate an issue and it's easier to do it on a dyno than on the open road.

The only caviat I'd probably concede to that is if you stick to a single dyno and do before and after runs it may help to see if modifications are adding benefit, but even then a car doesn't act on a dyno like it does on the open road so it's just an indicator.

defo warren, My easiest way of finding out is comparing it to my friends. Ill decide after the weekend whether the bluefin is sufficient if not im going back to revo.

Its just as im adament that im sticking to a stage 1 only and not going any further with this particular car i opted to go for bluefin so i can always sell the controller later. Im a revo biased person myself but for what i needed and for the price i couldnt doubt that the bluefin would have done a sufficient job for just the stage 1

ye well i suppose your method makes sense mate, however doing that isnt going to tell you exactly what figures you have got is it, so that is my reasoning for the dyno, for figures on paper only, only £50 to do this so hardly a pricey affair.

i understand where you are coming from warren, a 1/4 mile run would be beneficial for putting the power down and seeing what speed it hits and the time it completes the distance, that is something i have thought about for next summer maybe, i am still opting for a dyno run for reasons already mentioned above.
