Hi all.

Got a great deal on a luk flywheel and clutch.

Thing is tho I have been told it could be sachs or luk but the only way to tell is to remove the gearbox.

Can I fit a luk kit if the car has a sachs? As I would be replacing everything and not crossing parts over.

I hope someone can give me some heads up as its getting done tomorrow hopefully.

Thanks all.

what car is it going on?

just to give you an idea, the original clutch & flywheel on my car was a LUK, it now has a sachs clutch with a LUK flywheel so you shouldnt have a problem

2004 54 plate. 2.0 tdi face lift.

should be fine (as long as the parts are for a 2.0 tdi A3), reason i asked is if it was something like an S3 you dont want to be putting an LUK in as they cant handle the power

Yeah parts I got are for a 2.0 tdi 2004 - on.

The car has a BKD engine.

Got the clutch kit and flywheel brand new for 160 quid + postage :)

For reference here is the differences(you can spot these by looking through the inspection hole on top of the gearbox) :
