How to test alarm?

Stupid question I know, but I would like to test my alarm to see if it does actually work.

I get the flashing red LED on the centre of the dash when I lock the car but that's the only indication I've got that I have an alarm.

What can I do without actually lobbing a brick through my window to test it?

Or

1. Open window
2. lock car and wait 30 seconds
3. wave arms in car like a madman

Or

1. Open door
2. Trick car in to thinking door is shut
3. Lock car and wait 30 seconds
4. Remove items that tricked the car in to thinking the door is open
Can be door, bonnet or boot.
 
lock the car with the windows down and throw a jumper in through the window after a while
 
Lock the car and then unlock it with the keys and open the door.
 
1) Lock the car.
2) Throw a brick through the window.







3) Call Autoglass.

You could also arm the alarm wait 30secs then jack the car up. This tests the tilt / tow away function
 
To be honest, it makes hardly any difference whether it works or not. The alarm is a pile of poo and is no louder than a fart.
