Rear Lights

Hi just a quick question, yeasterday i was following a 5dr 2.0TDi '06 plate A3 & I thought that the rear lights looked different to mine, it had the extra rear light section on the boot lid. So I overtook it to take a look at the front & that's was the same as mine, with the single large grill section. Mine has no rear brake light section on the boot lid & it's a '56 plate 2.0TDi S-Line Quattro (reg Jan 2007).
When did they change this or is it only on the 5dr they did this?

Any info would be great as now I'm confused, I thought I had the face lifted car.

Hi mate, the lights on the sportback (5 door) are completely different from the 3 door.

5 door has two parts and the 3 door one single unit.

And 4 access doors instead of your 2 !

Apart from that they are identical !!!!!

Cheers for that, I was worried that I'd bought a cut n shut :-(
Why did they change the lights for the 5dr, was it just cos they could or are they wired diffrent ?

Design feature on the (what was new ) sportback.

Also sportback has two reversing lights and two rear fogs so wired differently

FTW ? What do all these abreviations mean ? An old d*ck like me needs a sticky with them all in so I can see what all the young dudes are talking about. 'Dudes', there I go again, trying to be hip. 'Hip', who says that nowadays, ok, i'll go now. :tapedshut:
