Some Q on A3 sport purchase

just joined site. Previous has mainly been BMW and this is first Audi, looking forward to it, was initially looking for a quattro, but hard to come by in colour , spec & price to suit. So opted for.... used A3 2008 (March 08) TDI sport 170bhp 21,777 miles at Sheffield Audi. Have put deposit on. Will be picking it up next week.

(Akoya Silver, red nappa, cruise, 9 spoke alloys, bose, aluminium inlay, MFW, rear PDC)

The deal included them servicing the car. As the car is now 3 years old should service include cam belt? Have been through some forum pages and there is mention of belt getting done every 3yrs regardless of mileage.

Gave the local audi dealer a call, apparantly the belts changed at 5 year intervals if mileage is not reached first

Or 60k. To answer your question i doubt they would include a cambelt change, even if you asked.
If you want it done for piece of mind, also get the water pump changed.
