Handbrake handle replacement

The leather on my handbrake handle is looking a bit worn and I'd like to replace it with a brand new one.

How easy is this to do? Can I just replace the handle or is it the whole mechanism that's got to be replaced?

just the handle can be replaced. You put a small screw driver in behind it to release a tab & it pulls off.

how about matching pair?

Try as I might waggling a screwdriver in the back/top of the cover I can't get the handbrake cover off. What's the secret?
