Going to look at one this weekend that's being sold at a local independant "prestige" garage. Mileage is 52k. Oh, and it's a quattro. What are the main things I should look out for? Also, I'm pretty sure it's a 170bhp version but how do you check for sure? I have the reg number so could it be checked by a clever person or Audi employee who might be reading this thread!?!? Looking forward to reading the replies

Call Audi CS, give them the reg number, they can tell you options fitted and service history.

Cheers Kite. Called Audi CS and very helpfull. Got some basic info from them so thats a great start.

So, anyone got any pointers as to what I should be looking for?

Yeah, it was confirmed earlier that it's a 140! Very dissapointed so the search continues.

Crunchie, as nice as your car is your just too far away and it's not the colour for me. Good luck with the sale though.

I would personally have a PD140 over a PD170 .

Have they advertised it as a 170?

If so could be a nice bargaining angle. Just show them the sticker in the boot tyre well that says 110KW and say that's a 140 not a 170... now drop the price again...
