Going to look at one this weekend that's being sold at a local independant "prestige" garage. Mileage is 52k. Oh, and it's a quattro. What are the main things I should look out for? Also, I'm pretty sure it's a 170bhp version but how do you check for sure? I have the reg number so could it be checked by a clever person or Audi employee who might be reading this thread!?!? Looking forward to reading the replies :thumbsup:

with the quattro make sure there is no vibration from the back end under load. at 60 in 6th sink the "loud" pedal and check for it. usually got a 1000rpm range from 1600 to 2600. See this thread for more info -

Yeah, it was confirmed earlier that it's a 140! Very dissapointed so the search continues.

True story.
A remap would get you the PD170 figures, you also have the advantage of having a Bosch ECU, non Piezo injectors and no DPF.

If so could be a nice bargaining angle. Just show them the sticker in the boot tyre well that says 110KW and say that's a 140 not a 170... now drop the price again...
