Is my RNS-E adapter faulty? Help please!!!

Hi guys, my RNS-E adapter finaly came. I am using it to upgrade my single din concert stereo to the double din concert stereo, the concert 3 unit that plays mp3's. When i hook the adapter up to the unit nothing happens, the speakers just make a very quiet noise and then it stops. Anybody any idea what it could be? or how i can fix it?

Did you order a diversity adapter? Should work okay not sure if they need coding through vag com
