Hey at the moment i have audi a3 1.9 tdi with the standard 17" wheels on.

i am looking into to new rims, but cant afford insurance to lower the car
if i got 18"s would it look daft? and what would be the best tyre fitment for it so the car will sit abit lower.

thanks

should look ok unless its the bottom of the range model. 225/40/18 is the norm for an 18

I think it would look daft, my car is a SE when i put 18" on and never lowered it was a mini 4x4. And use to do my heading lol! 18" look fine on an s-line with standard suspension. But a SE or Sport i think they need to be lowered to pull it off. Other wise just stay with 17". As Lee said 225/40/18 will be fine.
Here two photos of my car on 18" with standard supsension

I have a set of s-line springs if they would be any good to you?
