Uprated clutch - Helix stage 1

Looking at uprated clutches and it seems that everyone on here is going down the Sachs route.

Been looking at an alternative in the form of a Helox stage 1 clutch.

    Anyone had exerience of these?

The price differential between the southbend and the Helix is quite significant isnt it?

I would have to agree i've not heard great things about Helix clutches. If mine was a stage 2 or stg2+ S3 and I wanted longevity from a clutch that I did not have to baby, that could take abuse I deff go with a Southbend & SMF set up, plus they have so much choice from conventional drive plates to paddle plates for drag dracing, but minimum there basic model can handle is 400lb ft!

S3_Alex admits to driving his car very carefully- no low RPM /high load driving and no hard launches, that's only why his Sachs Organic is coping with over 400 lf bt torque . On VW Vortex most people running BT setups on 2.0TFSIs are using Southbends with no probs.
