Oil change

looking at doing this to my 2005 a3 2.0tdi sport.
Is it simple to do as dropping the 3/4 engine tray and undoing the sump plug and changing the ol filter from the engine bay??

Same priciple as changing the oil on any car. Just don't over fill the oil when replacing it and worth replacing the sump plug and seal at the same time...

There is a rubber seal on the sump plug (O ring) which can go hard over time, so worth changing for the sake of a couple of pounds...

another question will my a3 get up on some ramps i will be getting to get the engine under cover off or can this be done without ramps and on my drive?
