Just had a blonde moment and whilst i was checking my coolant level and washer levels i accidentally put no more than 100ml of screen wash intothe coolant tank!
Am i ok or do i need to drain the tank?
If so how do i do it
thanks

Silly ******!! and you support Swansea!!!:sadlike:

Not sure if it's a problem but I would doubt it... If you are able to find some hose, small bore winemaking stuff is ideal.. you can suck gently and let gravity do the rest and get rid of what you can.

I wouldn't think it is an issue though as I would imagine it has some of the same properties as Anti Freeze.

Nowt wrong with the swans - i could live say in bristol and support man ure ;o)
Thats a good idea about draining it with a pipe - will try it now

BTW who do you support?>

i'd imagine it would be wisest to flush the system.

screenwash is similar to coolant, but it's got soap in it and lord knows what that'll do to the cooling system. it's probably in a small enough concentration to not matter, but i wouldn't risk it personally.

Just spoken to an audi mech and he says its ok - so phew!

all the fuss about mixing diff brands of coolant
but screen wash will be OK
sorry i don't buy that personally but its you car do with as you wish
i would flush the system personally as for£30-40 its gonna cost you it ain't worth risking it!

If you have not run the engine draining the header will get at least 90% of it out. The amount left would be very small indeed.

Twas only a minimal amount anyway
Thanks for your advice
