can anyone help, i have a 54 plate a3 tdi sport. the problem is that the steering wheel light is constantly on the dash board and the steering is very light. im not sure if this has anything to do with it but i fitted an s line wheel to it, i also had to change the slip ring. the car had some lights on the dash when i got it as it had light front end damage, i cant remember if this light was on before i changed the steering wheel but thought it could be causing the problem. ive plugged it in with vagcom and it says steering sensor??

any help would be great

Yes it's the steering angle sensor and will need re calibrating AFAIK am sure someone will be along to confirm this.

cheers, dude. yeah thats what it said on the vagcom, can anyone tell me how this is done?

Yes goto ross-tech's wiki & look it up as its on there site or if you have a genuine interface ask RT to advise via support.

Also yes you need to do the steering angle, possibly lateral sensor.
