Any idea what might have set my alarm off?

So I got my car out of the garage today to give it a quick wash. Switched her off, hit the lock button whilst I got the karcher out. But during jet washing the alarm went off, happened three times, cancelled with the remote. But no obvious cause, all the windows were shut and the car was empty.

Any ideas on the cause? Really want to avoid my local stealer. Also found out the 8P's alarm is a lot louder than the old 8L!

The car will tell you.

Scan it with vagcom, alarm triggers are stored as fault codes in the alarm controller.

Mine has done that when car was locked and i washed with karcher near top of the front windscreen must be a sensor near

Yeah mine does it if I jet wash the windscreen by the rear view mirror and the car is locked. Nothing to worry about I'd say...

Thanks fellas, glad its happened to someone else.

Wasn't especially windy, was goddam cold though (probably too much to be washing the car)

Surprised the ultrasonics are that sensitive.
