Were is the port? Ive got a obd2 management.
But should I purchase vagcom??

its under the dash by the drivers footwell from what i can remmember its behind or right by the bonnet pull

i think so but dont quote me on that , everybody who i have asked has said get the proper leads from ross-tech but i think its around £200 so not cheap sorry i cant help you anymore

It is an OBD compatible port but you can't do anything but read information with a hand held device.

VCDS required ( with laptop ) to do anything at all as the car has the new canbus diagnostics.

Who knows? - it's a gamble you have to take if you buy cheap.

Might work for a bit and then pack up - you really can't tell.

You get what you pay for in this world mate so it's entirely up to you

cheap one dont work,the a3 has canbus wiring and them cheepo leads dnt work,i had one,got rid of it and bought genuine from ross-tech for £220 ish,well worth it,i do other cars aswell now,had mine for around 6 months and got more than half my money back already ! doing a plug in here and there for people
