Not after anything special - but i have heard that the more expensive ones last longer?
What can i expect from an after market one over an OE one?
What ones do you recommend and best place to get them from?

i replaced mine with a k&n its life long, i blow it out with an airline every time i service my car. it lets the engine breath a bit better and you can get them anywhere ie ebay or your local motor factors. i got a replacement one that fits into the airbox cause those cone ones are too much bother..

TBH, your just as well with the oem filter & change it when your suppose to/its dirty.

The VAG range dont get on with the K&N filter due it contaminating the the MAF despite what K&N state.

i have had my k&n in for a couple of years and it hasnt missed a beat.
