Hi guys

Had to take my passenger front seat out at the weekend to fix the runners... meaning I had to unplug the airbag from underneath. The problem I have is, there are 2 plugs looking exactly the same and only 1 socket. I remember only 1 of these was plugged in but I can't remember which one!

Can anyone tell me which plug needs plugging in? I have heated seats in the 2004 TDi if that makes a difference.

Thanks.

it could just be photo , but both plugs you show look different .

the one taped into the loom looks like the right shape to fit socket ?

is this the case ?

car manufacturers normally make plugs different so the wrong one cant be inserted into wrong socket

It's the photo. Both plugs are identical, just with different colour wires going to them.

If someone could pop out in the cold and check theirs for me, I'll give them a biscuit.

Can you not see the colour of the cables in the plug attached to the car?

Just thinking they may be the same as one of the plugs in the seat?

Does one have two wires and the other 3 or is it a bad picture? can you not look at the other side if thats the case?

They both have 3 wires.

Problem solved though. I plugged the one on the main loom in and drove to a specialist to get the airbag light cleared. They couldn't do it, as the fault was shown as 'static'. So swapped them over and the light cleared.

So, for reference the airbag loom for the passenger seat is the plug on it's own at the top of the pic. No idea what the other one does, maybe for a power seat?

mine has 2 sets but ones for the power adjusters odd that you dont have the extra port for it
