Are they coded for no airbags in seats or is it a whole new control module?

will the other airbags still work if the seat airbag is disconnected on a regular A3?

I dont think so.
Reason for my reply is, i fitted a pair of buckets in an a3 that originally was fitted with seat airbags.
With the buckets fitted, the airbag light still went out. Which meant the circuit was correct.
So whatever they fit in the buckets, means you dont have to mess with anything else.

if they are oem spec buckets the looms cancel out the airbag (or use if it has) all other airbags will function normally, if it is oem buckets i want!

so the OEM buckets have airbag canceling looms?

Any1 have part # for that harness?

i think theyre almost 250 a pop try rye i think he was missing some but want paying the audi premium for them, cant say that i blame him

hi guys... i have been and still am driving round with my airbag light... ive been told the other airbags still work but am not 100%..

my car is booked into audi on monday and im going to arrange the ordering of the looms... the cheapest i been quoted so far was £177 each... i think that was chingford audi not definate!! but im sure if you really ring about you might be able to get them cheaper!

ive tried Recaro direct, ive tried seating specialist that supply Recaros all "no can dos"

ther only other cheap option would be getting an electrician to make custom looms or make something yourself!

TBH A3dee you have majorly confused me... the standard s3 seats loom is NOT compatible with OEM Buckets??? wrong plugs... and my light is on still so i dont know how you got to that situation "seats in and connected on std looms & light out"?? :wtf:

i think he meant if he got buckets with the airbag loom, and rye your airbas will work just not the seat ones (till you get the loom and reset the fault)
