Hi,

I have lowered my A3 2.0 tdi by around 35mm im looking at some 19s.

To eliminate rubbing issues what size tyres should i buy?

I'm as low as u can go on 19s and I've got 215/35/19 on. U get just enough stretch to tuck nicely in :)

Thanks for that, Ive been looking at some 19s for an a3 and wheel companies are fitting 225 or 235 profile tyres.

Dont want to have to start fiddling around.

I've just got 225's and they sit on the rim very nice, I only think 215 looks ok is if your going very low as the tyres would look too small on a 35mm drop. Am going about 45 50 on 225's as I know my wheel et means they shouldn't be any scrubbing. Pluss I reckon you can do more damage to a rim With smaller tyres if you curbed them etc etc.

Depending on your offset you can vary from 215-235

I had 8.5x19" ET50 on my coilover'd A3 2.0TDI which was lowered to the tyre. They were 235/25/19 and had no rubbing issues at all.

I still have 235/35/19 on them now on my S3 lowered 25mm
