Will 235/40/18's fit on lowered a3?

Hi could someone tell me if 235/40/18 tyres will fit on to my lowered 2004 2.0tdi A3?

Its been lowered around 35mm on springs only. I know the correct size for an A3 is 225/45/18 but I have been offered these wheels and tyres at a good price.

Should be no problems if you're only looking at 18's and lowered 30-35mm

It's when you look at 19's that you want a 215 tyre on there
 
if you are on stardard offset wheels et52-54 then no problems

235 tyres on et44mm fits when lowered about 30-35mm
245 doesnt without removing the plastic bolts in the rear arches
