Vanity Light Wiring

My A3 Sport didn't come with sun visor vanity lighting, I fitted an S3 headliner which has them so could really do with connecting them up.

I'm breaking a Golf Mk4 which has the lighting, so i robbed the loom for them out of this (the visor hinge switches and lights are the same btw, which is handy)

I'm left with a live feed and earth, and am wondering how to wire them in.

The earth is easy, am I OK to take the live from the main perm. live feed to the interior light or will this cause issues? I could use one of the two take off point's on the light, the vanity lights would only work when the headlights are on though.

Did consider doing that, but they usually work when the ignition is off, hence the perm live.

Taking a wire down the A-pillar to the fusebox is a possibility, but would rather not is there is an alternative, which I suspect there is.

There is perm live fuses at fusebox you
Can use, coincidentally im doing this mod
Just now with illuminated a4 sunvisors.
