that damn extra wipe!

hi, whenever I wash my front screen after it has wiped a few seconds later it wipes again - bl**dy annoying. Can it be turned off easily?

on my wiper stalk ive got a little knob that adjusts how fast the wipers go have a look for it all the way to the left is slower all the way to the right is quicker.

This drives me nuts too! Just when the windscreen is clear it rubs it again and obscurs the view again!

yeh obviously the higher you move the stalk up the faster it will wipe but like i said ive also got a knob that i can further adjust the speed.

I think it's called a 'teardrop wipe'. It probably happens on the rear wash as well.

I think it can be turned off with VCDS - certainly the rear one.

hi thanks for the replies. DSG TDI its not on intermittant wipe its only after a screenwash, every other time it doesn't happen.
my last A3 didnt do it but it is so annoying.

press the stalk down after washing the front screen, e.g. when you want it to stop wiping, it will do it once more and then stop and not wipe again after a few seconds - that works for me
