IS IT POSSIBLE TO DISCONECT THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL FROM MY 2008 S3?

Hi guys, I have a 2008 Audi S3 2.0TFSI with some mods and I would like to know if it's possible to "disengage" the rear differential to test it in a 2wd dyno.

Has anyone done this in this car?
I would really appreciate all the help that you can offer me.

    thanks.

Fuse-pulling is a scary practice. I would never let a car on my rolling road with "the fuse pulled". A number of owners tried to press me into allowing it, but it's simply not bright. If any electrical malfunction were to occur that closed the circuit and transmitted torque to the rear wheels, the owner would most likely swallow his words when his car hurled itself off the rollers.

Yes, it is a case of "Yeah right, you'd have to be well unlucky for that to happen", but it's not a risk I would be willing to take. Risk/chance/luck - none of these things mean definite yes or definite no. If you disconnect the rear prop, you will never run the risk of your car deciding to make a quick exit through the front wall of the dyno cell!

It's not just a case of pulling the fuse, you need to turn off certain sensors in Vagcom, speed sensors to the rear wheels and others i beleive.

I know someone who had their S3 RR'd on a 2WD RR recently without issue.
