Any tips for NOT breaking the Sportback outer tail lights?

I have to replace a bulb on my Sportback tails, and of course this means removing the tail lamp assembly (outer).

Does anyone have any great advice as to HOW BEST to pull the assembly away from the car? -I don't want to break any of those 'ball-and-socket' parts off...

mmm I would love to know as well.

One of my tail lamps does not sit flush and I want to remove it to have a look at it.

Look in your manual is shows you the method in 3 steps, its similar to the 3 door version.
