Does anyone know if the aluminium pedals off the mk5 golf r32 fit staright on the a3 sportback tdi 56 ...if so is it an easy simple swop?

Yes and Yes! Accelerator is a bit fiddly to get out of the floor but easy enough

Agreed yes and yes I brought golf gti pedals as I could get them cheaper from VW than from Audi and there the same as the s3's

Does it matter if there from a petrol version and mine is diesel ? is there any wiring or cables to modify in any way or they just bolt on and away we go?

Petrol and TDI are the same, just make sure the accelertor is Manual or DSG specific because the DSG pedal has a sensor for kickdown.
