My car is due for a sevice in 200 miles, and i've already bought all the stuff to do it, so will be carrying it out this weekend. The only problem is re-setting the indicator, where or how can I get this done?

You need VCDS to do it
If you do it yourself you can't stamp the service book to show it's been done properly.
If you're not bothered about service record etc. then you should find someone local who has VCDS or you could always buy one.
There is a sticky at the top of the VCDS forum which identifies who has VCDS, who can help, and where they are located.

...There are two DIS service indicators to reset. One is described in the manual, and is done from the cluster.
