slight ticking on tick-over

Am I asking too much for there to be no (slight) ticking noise from the engine when you're stood next to the front of the car, or is it me/my car?

I had the same noise on my R32 when justing standing idle. I was more noticable when the engine was cold, but only took about 5 minutes to warm up though.
