A3 140 & 170 BHP 2.0 TDI

Hi,

Are there any cosmetic differences on the car between the 140 & 170 2.0 TDI engines?

No. Same spec cars will look identical

depending on the age of the cars, 140's have down facing exhaust pipes, and the 170 have chrome looking straight pipes.

not sure if this is the case on the newer models though

The CEGA is the same 170CR engine but in the Seat Exeo. The current 140CR in the A3 is coded CBEA.
