:hi:Hello Guys,

My exhaust emission light has come on for some reason and was wondering what to do?

I have an Audi A3 3.2 2004 Reg and wondered if this was a common problem?

Dont want to take it to the stealers for an over expensive vag com.

I have looked online and found that I may be able to perform my own vag com

is this legal and would the cable above suffice?

appreciate your help guys lol

anyway thought i would inform anyone that has a similar problem and let you know that after weeks of worrying how much money i will have to spend o2 sensors, cat converters, new MAF etc... i have found the problem as to why the exhaust emission light decided to show...

the wires joining the o2 sensor on the left cat had become unstuck and left hanging above the exhaust, eventually they completely burnt through from when the exhaust became hot, which then triggered the o2 sensor as it was unable to function properly. i have pictures to show but dont know how to paste them into the post

Yes mate that is the exact one i bought. Had a look at the ebay ones, looked a bit shabby IMO.

I have an 04 3.2 (8P) and the software provided worked perfectly, managed to find the problem straight away.

Just seen this thread, I was going to suggest a wiring problem. I had similar 'Implausible Signal ' message on mine when I vagcomed it when my ESP and ABS lights came on. Wires had broke with rubbing.
