Can anyone recommend an alloy wheel repair specialist that covers the Cumbria area?

I've had 2 new tyres fitted and the tyre fitter's damaged the wheel. Highly unlikely they are going to pay out either but thats another story.

Whats the likely hood of getting the same standard of finish of the originals? As when I bought the car the garage had one of the wheels refurbed for me and I can tell its not as good as the rest of them. I want them looking brand new and to the same quality as the original finish.

You need to do a bit of digging and find a refurber who will acid strip the wheel back repair the damage and then re-dip coat. Don't know any in your area but all 4 of mine were re-done when i bouight the car and were spot on, then I had a tyre fitter damage two of them they agreed to refurb them did so, however, they only sprayed them and it is very obvious the difference. Take your time and loom around for someone who does the full refurb.

Good luck

I may have resolved this with the garage. I'm just a bit worried about who it is they are going to get to do it. Should find out in the next few days.

At least they have admitted fault.

Had the same thing happen to me at a dealer, they wouldn't do anything until I really pushed it, and it was a mobile surface they got in, looked ok for a few months as it was a spray touch up repair, then after time and cleaning /winter, you could see where the colour and lacquer were not original. That's probably the best you can hope for unless you get them done yourself, but will be around £40 a corner.
