interior, dash board repairs?

does anyone know if its possible to get a dashboard repaired and it be perfect ?

my 8 year nephew decided to burn 3 rings into my dashboard and door panel with my cig lighter ,god am i ****** off

burn in dashboard is on passenger side next to the airbag lettering

2 burns in top of door panel next to where handle finishes


gonna be costly to change dash,not to mention the hassle

There are specialists around that can repair them, and yes they are as good as perfect when they are done. Like everything though, quality comes at a price!

Have a skeg through your yellow pages to start with.

lol god i could cry ,i spent £600 on a mint full leather interior only 6 months ago ,now i have to buy a new door card @around £70 secondhand plus a dashboard or try to find someone who can repair it . but im not holding out on a repair of the dash just to obvious a place to hide it .

yes youre correct ,would be my sister in law ,but i feel awful asking her for the money ,she has recently split with her partner and he has left her with his debts ,and to top it her hours at work have just been cut to part time .

so asking her to stump up for it atm seems to be adding salt to a fairly large wound

thanks for the dash link got my eye on that ,same dash as 2005 model i presume ?

just need to find an old door panel and see if i can remove the top section that runs across the top of the door might save the cost of a new leather door card

Wise words from aytheee - Go to ebay. Search 'A3 breaking'. PM every person who is selling something asking if the have the parts you need.

I found this shockingly effective!! At least I had answers anyhow. You never know you might land a lucky price.

I'll look out the instructions for swapping over the dash & email you them if you want? If you can do yourself it will be a bit of work but save a fortune.

instructions for a dash swap would be helpful ,theres no problem in me doing it just be nice to know the location of all the bolts /fixings first
