Ok I will be booking in my car at AMD early in the new year...

What kits are the best from here:

a) Eibach Springs and dampers
b) Koni Kits
c) H&R kits

I was looking at going with the Eibach kit, would this be an issue with my 18" RS4 reps? How low does this kit drop your car - I don't want it lower than a gnats **** as I have road humps everywhere around my village.

Cheers in Advance /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif

H&R springs are an ideal lowering imo. My car has these with Koni dampers and I have never grounded my car on anything.

Maybe you should go with Glens recommendation, Bilstein shocks and H&R springs?

Glen = Ess_Three

Do a search for Star Performance Testing in the A3/S3 forum for more info.

Thanks for the input - I'm a bit strange when I get to modding - I want the parts to be all the same and I for one wouldnt mix and match suspension parts, So I will prob go with the Eibach kit.

@ neversaydie

Why do you have a problem mixing suspension parts?

I assume you have an A3 and not an S3 as Eibach don't do a suspension kit for the S3. However, the Eibach Pro Spring kit for the S3 (which I have) lowers the front by 25mm and the rear by 20mm. The A3 kit lowers the front by 30mm and the rear by 25mm.

H&R is a 25mm drop all round for the S3 - not sure about the A3.

If you are getting the work done at AmD and you want everything to be the same, then why not consider the Audi GmbH Suspension - uprated, shortened shocks with uprated springs.

Is the GmbH supension upgrade available for all audi's?

Intreseting Idea!

As Steph say - Is it available for the 8L Chassis?

If so..

How much is it?

Could not find it on AMD's site.

Sorry to answer your question which I forgot to do in the earlier post...

I'm not real sure why I do, I just think that a particular manufacturers dampers would be designed to work with the same manufacturer springs than that of another breed.
