Newbie with some questions.

I got a 2000 S3, my first Audi i've had Saabs for the last 17 years but now saabs are cheap(to gm)
and a time for change has come, and what a change!! love'in it.

I have a few qustions:-

1- yesterday it lost power, I've checked all the hoses there fine. 800-4000 revs off the mark is ok ,but
over 4000 its slow to rev, and in 6th doing 60mph if i floor it, it feels like its missing holding back.

2- Which spark plugs?

3- what engine oil to use?

Sounds like it could well be the MAF - two options. VAG COM it and check for fault codes, or unplug the MAF and see if it then drives better. If so then MAF will be your cause.

2- Which spark plugs?

Various options. OEM are iridium, so they're good. I personally use Bosch Super 4s.

3- what engine oil to use?

5w 40 that conforms to VAG Specification 503.1. Any brand is OK really.

I suspect the three above points could of been found in previous posts using the search.... :thumbsup:

You have to buy vagcom, either from ebay or from a member of this site
