Thats a phenolic gasket, prevents heat transfer from the head to the inlet mani... I run one and works fine but its preventative not a magic cure... heat can and will heat up the inlet mani at some point...

Charge air will get hot under boost conditions, a decent FMIC will help exchange heat from the charge air before it gets to the inlet mani, phenolic will help prevent the inlet mani from adding heat back in...

Every little helps...

Yarp.... just like a decent intercooler... doesn't really give you more power just helps maintain what you have already got...
