Hi guys I have recently bought a a3 1.8 t and couldn t open it with fob , so i went to audi and got a spare key and fob , however they couldn t programm it as the conv unit was showing 36 errors !! 220 quid later they told me i had to book the car in for further investig. the meccanic told me it was ulikely the conv unit had gone wrong and possibly be a fault in the wiring! i noticed the drivers door lume had been cut and joined badly so i spent all day cutting soldering and shrink sleeving the all lot , still not joy!!! checked the door switch and seems to work fine!however! only thing i didn t check is the conv unit as i can t find it!! the vac pump in the boot apparently works as a reciver and seems fine!!! what do you suggest????????
