Abs + Esp light on (random times)

Hi all.
My asb and esp light have started coming on together.
Just gave a quick vagcom.
The code said something about hydraullic modulator?? I had the battery cover off today, to put a surge protector on... Do you think i could have disturbed "THE" fuse??
I just had a quick peek and couldnt see anything amiss.

Have you checked the fault code against the ross.tech vag.com wiki ? (there'e a link to it somewhere on here)

might give you a clearer indication of the problem

Yeah the code is 01276 - hydraullic modulator intermittant fault

After some searching, i found the 3x 30amp fuses (ontop of the battery) can be related to the fault.
Popped them out for a visual check, and they all have marks.. like they have been arcing out??.

Anyhow i rotated them all and swapped them round. so ill see if it cures the fault.

Hopefully i wont have to fork out for a new pump or controll unit

Give them a clean, including the connectors. Mine abs fault went after this

Have a look at the multi plug near the back of the battery that links to the fuses as mine did the same, this plug controls the fans to so keep a eye on the temp
