Yes ISO to Quadlock adapter will be needed, but doubt very much it will fit the dash

This is down to personal preference. I got a Kenwood DNX series, which does not stand out too much, plus you can change the lighting on it to be red, which blends in with the rest of Audi lights nicely.

The main problem with aftermarket 2-din HU is finding a surround for it or getting someone to make an adapter for 8L S3. I have not found one that does not need modification and use one for the A4, which I had to trim.

I just changed mine from double din back to single din tbh... wasn't a double din unit I liked the look of or could be bothered to waste my money on... I am only interested in using my iPod with it so went for an Alpine unit in the end...

Those Alpine units are the best Ipod HU IMO so user friendly, I had one when they came out but I imagine you can pick one up for £200 these days.

The head unit? it was a refurb unit I bought from Sextons for £150... think the newer versions are £250/£300 now and in black...
