Mapped car on normal Unleaded?

Chaps,

My car has been running a bit iffy the last week. (Bit hesitant, feels down on power and doesn't feel as if its coming on full boost all the way through the revs, just seems limp!)

I have thought about MAF's and coilpacks but it also occurred to me that it started the day I filled up with fuel.

I always run it on high octane fuel, but I had no where to go so the normal Texaco stuff was put in!

Do you think this could play a part in the crap running on a mapped car? (MTM Map)

your ECU will back the timing off and reduce the power to account for the poor grade fuel, there shouldnt be any long term effects from it

agreed, i went back to normal unleaded as couldnt see the difference, then tested with and without and it does exactly what Mark says
