    best clutch kit .

    Hi there,

Got myself a 1999 210 S3 at the weekend , She has done 110k and is faultless, So well looked after however before remaps etc i need to get a few things sorted !.

Im going to need a clutch which i plan to do with my spare monies as i didn't need it all for the car :D (Result ) .
After much time on the phone it seems helix is the way to go ? , Agree ? Disagree ? , best place and prices would be great :D. Cheers guy's.

If you are not tuning beyond a remap, i recon OEM or sachs is the way to go, avoid any of these paddle/ceramic clutches as they will spoil the drive of the car as they tend to be more on or off. There are many BIG power S3s running std clutches, all they have to do is be mindeful when launching

Budget for a flywheel too, and a bill of around Ł600-900 as they are a proper pain to do

Interesting stuff, i would happily sit here and say im going stage 3 , However it all depends on how my job pans out and monies ! .

So unlike what i normally do im more likely to go the k04 hybrid route , So ideally about 300bhp.

I was planning on spending 880 on the helix and flywheel , Then getting it fitted at my specialist next month. So from this aam i better going OEM then ?. Or what sort of price am i looking for saches.

Cheers for the reply though bud.

So would the flyhweel andy's running and a sach clutch be a good set up, as in not harsh ride quality etc while still offering good performaance etc?

Sachs clutch kits ,, Euro car parts sell a kit is that the same one ?? . Or is that a cheaper less good one .

As for dual mass , single mass will i notice much difference between the two even with 300bhp or is it really only for big power applications ? . If someone can tell me i will really really notice a difference over standard i may concider it , However if its just a marginal change im not sure i can justify it . Andrew@ALD, Where did you get your flywheel from ?. Can they make them up for other clutch kits helix etc etc .
