While searching over the net i came across a website that have plenty of stuff (many items from same supplier = less price to pay in total)
http://www.mjmautohaus.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=6169_6179_10033_6181_6184

As there is no S3 in the USA, i search under TT or MK4
here is the pulley and the camshaft set:
http://www.mjmautohaus.com/catalog/...58268/0_Camshaft_Set_268/260&products_id=2052
http://www.mjmautohaus.com/catalog/...ed_62.02.86_Pulley_Kit_Power&products_id=1096

I found the prices pretty much acceptable, 180$ for the pulley and around 480$ for the camshaft set.

I thought maybe this website and those items might be interresting for many S3 owners
here is a very nice package too for the suspension:

finally...what do you think about the pulley upgrade? and camshaft set?

Should be noted that non dampened crank pulleys are bad....

<tuffty/>

I know the oem pulley is good for a couple of hundreds bhp.
But i was wondering if the upgraded pulley will help getting more bhp if the car is custom mapped (same question for the cams)

you mean those cams are wortheless?

Im getting back on this once again...
One of my freinds here just upgraded his pulleys to this ecs kit and he state a noticable 5-10 bhp on the wheels on his TT
he got a 2001 TT 225 3" dpipe, neuspeed cai, stage 1 remap, and an aftermarket DV.
here is the kit in question:

I am SURE the stock stuff are pretty much good for +++bhp, but the real question is if that "cheap" kit will do any better than the stock ones

your friend is an idiot to use a non damped crank pulley if he is using one.
my thread on SCN above makes it obvious as to why

well he is using the ecs kit i pointed above.'
dampened or not...i have no idea. actually im still reading about it since i dont know what is a "dampened" crank pulley...

factory pulley is a mass damped pulley.
Fluiddamper is an aftermarket damped pulley for those pushing higher power and higher revs (BT)

Want this to potentially happen to your motor?
Fit a lightened alloy blingy pulley without mass damper

mate i am not fitting those i was just wondering what is it good for. My C32 AMG crank pulley is doing great anyways and i dont want my s3 any faster than the amg lol. i will sit and watch what will happen to that TT that have those pulleys installed already and the guy doesnt seem to want them out. so his choice, ill wait and take pictures of his car.
with badger5 clearing the points over the aftermarket pulleys....why those still up for sale! Neuspeed is a good reputation company! why they didnt take it out of the market!

You wont see any gains from these, There just look nice under the bonnet

They still sell them because the look good and there ok for road use

Its your engine do what you want

eirher because they dont understand what a harmonic damper is, or they make anything which people "want to buy", to make a buck

I'd say the second most likely Bill to be fair. Most companies don't give 2 squirts of rat's urine about what they sell, as long as they sell it. It's the same old, same old.

You're just special, in being different to most.

Once you fit it, it's your responsibility. They will always be blameless, as they will always say it's been fitted incorrectly. Off scott free.
